Addy's passion in life and the major thing that draws comfort to her is non-human animals.  She loves the company and companionship of anything that swims, flies or walks on four legs.  She dedicated her life to animals and has an unnatural skill in training all kinds of species.  She works closely with the animals that are bred or captured from the wild and then gives, sells or donates them to other people for various uses. appearance Standing at around five foot six, Addy is neither tall nor short.  In fact, much of her appearance could be considered average.  Brown wavy hair frames an oval face featuring dull, brown eyes.  She doesn't deal in cosmetics and has very little time for personal hygiene or upkeep (in fact it just isn't something that interests her much) because most of her company is animals who don't care what she looks like.  Now, this isn't to say that she doesn't clean up well.  If given a valid and logical reason, Addy could be quite beautiful by societal standards.  But she has been given no such reason and will remain mundane at best. Her wardrobe consists mostly of t-shirts, jeans and overalls.  Her work is not glamorous and there is no reason her clothing needs to be. biography Roughly twenty five years ago, the average story of boy meets girl took place.  There honestly isn't much to tell because there wasn't much going on.  Two people came together out of mutual attraction and had a child.  And that child was Addison Faksa. Her childhood seemed normal enough, at least to her.  She had no siblings and didn't think much of it.  Her parents loved her and each other and they cared for her.  She never realized she was different.  She had nothing to compare her life to.  When she started school, most of the other kids didn't interact with her and she was quite fine with that.  The interactions she did have with non-parents were dull and meaningless so she was happy to stay away. when she was seven, her parents were brought in to speak with her teacher.  'addison doesn't pay attention in class, she spends most of her time drawing - at this point the teacher handed over a notepad with hundreds of doodles of animals and the outside world - and yet she has one of the top grades of her age bracket.  your child is special but she needs extra help to keep her mind on track.  over the next few years, her parents worked with her and with a mind doctor to figure out where she stood and her diagnoses followed quickly.  even after having a title and a label to put on her differences, she never really felt like her life was out of the ordinary.  she just didn't mix well with other people. everything changed when she turned nine years old.  her parents hadn't been overly wealthy by the standards of anyone within the bunker but they weren't bad off.  they had privately discussed and saved for their daughters best birthday present yet - a puppy.  addy hadn't had any idea what she was missing and when the black nose popped out of the box and the puppy unwrapped himself, she sat there looking at him in confusion.  she had never met a dog and she wasn't entirely sure what she was supposed to do with him.  but, as puppies do, he walked over to her, licked her face and warmed her heart.  from that second on the pair were inseparable.   her focus regained clarity and she had found her purpose in life - to make her puppy great.  she worked with him day and night and learned how to teach him best.  he taught her the value of friendship and confiding in someone and unconditional, eternal love.  she spent the next few years dreaming of the day that she could work with other dogs and her parents took her to meet the breeder of her puppy.  seeing her enthusiasm and how well behaved her pup was, he invited her to help him in working with his own dogs. by the time she was sixteen, she had worked not only with various dog breeds, but she had also ventured to the surface to work with larger animals like the horses that helped to farm.  she had also read in a book about birds being trained to take messages far away and she began working with different bird species to take messages from bunker to bunker without risking human life. now, at the age of twenty four (with her 15 year old puppy still at her side) addy has a following of animals and people dependent on her for her training abilities.  most of the horses that work with the military came from her hand and the city wide post is in thanks to her.  she has thoughts and dreams of becoming the horsemaster but isn't sure how many people she would have to deal with so has not perused the position.

Hi, Affie! Welcome to Lamia!~ There are a few problems we've spotted when it comes to the culture of the site. Glitch will be PMing you/has PMed you with a list of what needs to be modified in detail. I'll be just putting a few errors I've seen in here and a summary of what we have discussed in length.

1. please post a single line of lyrics where it is indicated
2. please be more specific in your 'Home' section. Is she on the edge of the compound Ashwatch or the Maw? Is she living in Portland?
3. in the face claim, please list to what your FC is specifically from.
4. in the world of Lamia, it is a primitive society, so it wouldn't have psychiatrists/mind doctors to diagnose this kind of situation. Instead, the Witchdoctor (probably the most qualified doctor tbh) would recognize the symptoms for something, but wouldn't really know what to do about it. As far as Addison should be aware, is that she is much different from other people, and that it can have both good and bad consequences.
5. Glitch and I encountered an error in your history, as everything you've described about being raised would be the ideal environment for a child of Ashwatch. However, you've stated that Addison lives in a 'small hut on the edge of town.' That doesn't inspire a lot of confidence to where she actually lives. Also, towns don't really exist in Lamia unless they are collapsed from over a thousand years ago. At the moment, only Portland and everything in it is available since it is where the setting is based.
6. The dog. We'll give you an ultimatum: she received the dog because it was a deformed, unwanted puppy. it couldn't have left camp or leave with her to places. or, the dog (because from my calculations, it is 15 years old) is dead. the oldest I myself have had a dog was 13 1/2 when we had to put him down. And that was actually really old for him. Regardless if you choose to take the ultimatum and it's different endings, or choose to erase it, you will have to modify the entire history.
7. And the last thing, is more of a suggestion in the future when you create your second character. Please write the title of the app IN ALL CAPS, like we asked for in the application rules and a [FIN] marker when you are completed. Because otherwise, we wouldn't be able to tell if it was done or not. When we move your app to the accepted bio, that is when the [FIN] will be removed.

Again, we're really sorry this has to be pended, but there has to be some necessary changes in order for it to be accepted.

5. Ok, so I guess I am confused. I looked at the two accepted characters for some clarification here and I saw one other person lived in a hut near town square. So I was under the impression (with the lore as well) that everyone used to live underground but in the last few months they have started moving above ground. So in her current living situation, she would be living on the edge of town in a small hut. But for her history, she grew up underground in the Ashwatch bunker. And I thought Portland was considered a town which is why I said as much in her location. Please clear up my confusion, I stated to Glitch in a PM that the Lore didn't really cover WHY people started moving above ground so I guess I was laso confused as to where the people currently live.

5. People can live outside of the compounds, it is however extraordinarily dangerous so most people don't. There are few who live on their own, away from the compounds, but they don't live together (the exception being gorgon camps) in any sort of town or anything. There are the "towns" within the compounds, if you want to count the compounds as town-like communities, but that's it. "Portland", or rather, the forest with a few bits if building and rubble that was once Portland, was once a rather large city, but now it's mostly ruins. The bunkers were a temporary solution, immediate evacuation from the threat. They moved underground and stayed there, waiting for the danger to hopefully pass or to at least be prepared for it.

They obviously never intended to stay in the depths forever until they ran out of food and died lmao. The Maw didn't even really move above ground, they still mostly live beneath and only have a few above ground areas, hence they trade with Ashwatch for food. They moved above ground for the obvious reasons- who wants to live in a damp cellar forever? It was time to start trying to take back land where they could have a chance. It wasn't explained because I thought it seemed an pretty given thing.

Also a note: by the time she was born, Ashwatch stopped using the bunker for living and uses it just for storage. Everyone lives in treehouses, as stated in the local lore.
